We take resources our community has and help get them to people who need them.
Sometimes helping is complicated. We try to make it simple.
Community Fridge
We host one of the RVA Community Fridges outside of Abi's Books & Brews. It's open to anyone, any time. No sign-up, no questions, no qualifications.
- • Open 24/7. Take what you need, leave what you can
- • Bring sealed, ready-to-eat food that doesn't need cooking
- • No registration required to use it
Books & Coffee in the Community
We bring free books and coffee into schools, shelters, neighborhood events and community spaces across Richmond. It's literacy work, but it mostly looks like handing someone a book and a cup of coffee.

Digital Access
We collect used laptops, smartphones and tablets, securely wipe them, fix them when we can, and get them to people who need them, especially people experiencing homelessness, for whom a phone or laptop can be the difference between getting by and not.
Community Projects
Drives, special distributions, partnerships, neighborhood projects, emergency needs, experimental stuff. We keep a flexible category for the work that doesn't fit neatly anywhere else.
